Sepehr Sabeti

I am a data scientist in Surface Transportation Solution of Civil Group at Leidos working on infrastructure asset management program.

Bio: I am a PhD candidate at the William States Lee College of Engineering of UNC Charlotte supervised by Omid Shoghli. During my PhD studies, I joined ServiceNow Research for an internship with the AI platform team, focusing on Human-AI interaction. I also received a MSc in Computer Science from the College of Computing and Informatics of UNC Charlotte in 2022 and another MSc in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science in Technology (IUST) in 2018. In May 2019, I started my PhD in the Infrastructure and Environmental Systems (INES) program at UNCC. In 2022 I joined Leidos Surface Transportation Portfolio in the Civil Group for an internship and subsequently as a data scientist. I have contributed to the development of state-of-the-art highway asset management program at Leidos under the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP), and have closely collaborated with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on developing advanced and predictive decision support systems for intelligence maintenance allocation.

Professional Membership: I am a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) standing committee of Visualization in Transportation (AED80), and a participating member of the AED80 subcomitte on Participatory and Interactive Visualization. I am also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Data Sensing and Analysis (DSA) committee.
